We have given lily flowers of our test greenhouse to an elementary school and a junior high school in our town sometimes. This is for children's getting used to flowers close to them, and knowing how nice when flowers are in their daily lives.
今回その活動を拡大し、長浜にある保育園にもプレゼントすることとなり、吉村と山本がお届けに行ってきましたので、そのご報告をさせていただきます。
This time we presented flowers to a nursery school anew, and Ms. Yoshimura and Mr. Yamamoto went to pass them.
保育園ということで、お昼寝の時間帯にこっそりいけば、職員の方々のご迷惑にならないのでは？と昼すぎにいったのです。
We thought it should be better to visit in nap time after lunch so we wouldn't bother the staffs. And we did so.
ところが・・・。
But...
園をあげての大歓迎！
(年長さんは、小学校での生活に備えてお昼寝が終了していたものと思われます。)
The children were waiting for us to have a welcome-ceremony!(They were 5-6 year old children and they don't have a nap any more.)
こんなステキなお返しまでいただいて
They gave us such a lovely present.
(It says "Thank you for flowers".)
お見送りまでされちゃって。
They lined up in front of the gate to say good bye.
花をプレゼントしに行った山本、吉村の方が何か多くのものを貰って帰ってきてしまったようで、本当におさなごの園の皆さんには、感謝･感謝です。
It was us who received a big thing even though we went to give a present of flowers.
We felt gratitude for their warm hospitality.
これからも、多くの人に花を身近に感じてもらい、花にふれてもらえるように、こういった活動も続けていきたいとあらためて思う出来事となりました。
This made us to think that we want to keep doing this activity to make more people to feel flowers closer to them.
