カウントダウン３．２．１！！ ／ Final Count Down ! !

先週、オランダではダッチリリーデイズが開催され、新しい品種が数多く紹介されました。

マーケット状況の変化に伴い、新しい色や形のものも注目されているようです。

又、八重のローズリリーシリーズが有名ですが、販促のブランディングにも各社力を入れていました。

「6月のゆりの展示会」では、既に商品化されている多くの新しい品種を、一度にご覧いただく事ができます。

関係者内覧会（特に14日(金)）には、オランダから多くの輸出会社が駆けつけてくれますので、最新のオランダの雰囲気も聞かせてくれると思います。

Last week, Dutch Lily Days was held in the Netherlands, and many new varieties were introduced.

As the market situation changes, new colors and shapes seem to be attracting attention.

In addition, although the rose lily series of the double is famous, it seems that each company is putting power into branding of sales promotion.

At the "Lily Fair June", you can see many new varieties that have already been commercialized at one time.

A lot of export companies from the Netherlands will rush to the our inside party (especially Friday 14th), so I think that the latest Dutch atmosphere will be heard too.

さて、弊社ホームページの品種検索データベースでは

この春から、新しい機能が追加され、生産者様向けデータベース（緑）にて

品種ごとに、過去の試験データや写真にアクセスできるようになりました。

「6月のゆりの展示会2019」では、少し咲き急いでしまった品種を中心に

展示ラベルに写真のようなQRコードを張り付けております。

スマートフォンやタブレットのカメラで、四角いバーコードを読み込むと、

品種ページに移動して、試験データや写真をご覧いただけます。

（App StoreまたはGoogle playで「QRコード」と検索しますと、使いやすいアプリがインストールできますので、ぜひ挑戦してみてください。）

一部、既に咲いて終わってしまった品種は、こちらで開花状態などをご覧ください。

You can now access past test data and photos by variety.

At the "Lily Fair June 2019", We put the QR code like the picture.

It will be on the label of the varieties that have bloomed a little too early.

When reading a square barcode with a smartphone or tablet camera,

You can move to the variety page and see the test data and photos.

(If you search for "QR code" in App Store or Google play, you can install an easy-to-use APP, so please try it!)

AIやスマート農業が期待される昨今ですが、まずは私たちの知能をサポートしてくれるIT（情報技術）から進めたいと思います。

５月末に、上記機能をご紹介致しましてから、ご利用件数が増えてきており、月間2880名のアクティブユーザー様、4780件の検索にご利用いただいております。

Nowadays AI and smart agriculture are expected, but first I would like to advance from the IT (information technology) that supports our intelligence.

Since introducing the above functions at the end of May, the number of usage has been increasing, and it has been used by 2,880 active users and 4,780 searches per month now.

勘と経験の時代から、アプリやデータへと変わりましたが、それを活用し、より良く変えていくのは、昔も未来も私たち人間です。

今回の展示会（内覧会）では、昨年に引き続き、作業軽減のヒントになる機材のご紹介がございます。

From the epoch of intuition and experience, it has been transformed into apps and data, but it is our human beings who  use it and make better changes in the past and in the future.

Besides information processing, a review of work methods, effective tools, and raising the greenhouse technology of environmental control will eliminate stress from the workplace and create time allowance and stability.

At this exhibition (first 2 days), following last year, there is an introduction of equipment that provides hints for reducing work.

If you grow lily in a smiley environment, it will be transmitted to the people involved and the results will follow.

In order to lead the smiles of customers, we at Nakamura-Noen would like to continue with various proposals.

「6月のゆりの展示会」がいよいよ来週に迫り、展示会に向けた最終準備で社内は大賑わい！

“Lily Fair June” will be held next week, and we are having a busy week for the preparation.

現在研修生として高知に来てくれている、ディルクさん（オランダ・Bakker社より）も、弊社社員と一緒に準備を手伝ってくれています。

イベント当日はディルクさんも一緒に、会場で皆さんをお待ちしておりますよ～！

Mr. Dirk van Uden, who is staying in Kochi as a trainee, helps us a lot.

He will be at the event and welcome you with us next week!

今年の品種数は過去最多の511品種。

多いんです。とっても多いんです。それは分かっているけれど！

全品種を対象に、「ゆり人気投票」を実施します！

投票は、ハウス内に設置した「全品種一覧パネルボード」上のあなたの「推し品種」のところに、受付時お渡しするシールを貼っていただくという方法で行います。

投票状況がリアルタイムに分かる！ ぜひご参加ください！

<Vote your favorite varieties!>

We will show you 511 varieties at the exhibition.  It’s the biggest number ever.

Please vote you favorite varieties on stand boards which will be prepare in the greenhouse by putting stickers on the board.  We will give you the stickers at the entrance.

You can see the results in real time.  Please join it!

≪香りについての新たな切り口。「ゆりの香りの魅力展」≫

ゆりの大きな特徴は、その香り。

今までは、その特徴的な香りがネガティブにとらえられることもありました。

そんな「ゆりの香り」を研究し、新たな価値を与えた、農研機構・大久保先生の研究をもとに、「ゆりの香りの魅力展」と題したコーナーを作ります。

品種ごとの香りの違いや、ゆりの香りの新たな提案方法などについて、世田谷花き様の行った展示販売も参考にさせていただきながらご紹介していきます。

<Introduction of new aspects of lilies’ scents>

One of the big characters of lilies is “scent”.

This characteristic sometimes has been recognized as “week point” of lilies.

However, to prove that it’s not really the truth, we will make a section about lilies’ scents.  We will be able to introduce you interesting aspects of lilies’ scents thanks to a big help of the study by Ms. Okubo at The National Agriculture and Food Research Organization.  An interesting challenge of promoting lilies by Setagaya Kaki also helped us.

今年は今までとは全く違う、ド迫力のゆり装飾を計画中です。

詳しくは当日のお楽しみですが、一見の価値ありです！

毎年美しいアレンジメントをご用意できるのは、ひとえに、製作を引き受けてくださるお花屋さん、アーティストの皆様のおかげです。本当に感謝です。

いよいよ！！展示会前ですが…。 / Before the event...

新時代「令和」になりもう間もなく1ヵ月が経とうとしております。これから夏本場？！梅雨入り間近？！何より…「6月のゆりの展示会2019」まで2週間を切る！！今日この頃ですが。

是非、実際に弊社へお越し頂いてゆりを見てもらいたいという思いを込めながら……今回は展示会のご紹介は一切せず、私がハマっている高知のラーメンと、今年に入って作ったキャラ弁をご紹介します！！(笑)

It's been a month since it became the new era, "Reiwa".  Summer is coming soon!  That means that the rainy season is coming, too!  Wait, the more important thing is, "we have less than 2 weeks until 'Lily Fair June'"!!

While hoping that we will see many visitors at our event......, I would like to introduce Ramen which you can have in Kochi, and "character lunch boxes" I made for my daughter the other day.  

元々ラーメンよりうどん派の私ですが、2年ほど前からハマり定期的に食べているラーメンがこちら…

I basically prefer Udon noodles to Ramen, but there is a Ramen restaurant which I’ve been into since 2 years ago.

ホルモンとニラたっぷり、スープはどろどろの熱々で、最後まで冷める事のない餡のようなスープ‼ その残ったスープにご飯をぶっこみ、最後まで汗だくになりながら美味しく食べられる、その名は「ジャン麺」♪

The soup has much innards and garlic chive, and it's very thick which allows the soup stay hot until the end.  When you finish the noodles, you put the rice in the soup and you can enjoy it until the bowl gets empty.  The name of this Ramen is "Jan-men".

続いては、今年になって数年ぶりに子供からのリクエストがあり作ったキャラ弁のご紹介です(#^.^#)

The next is "character lunch boxes" which I made for my daughter. 

大ヒット映画「アナと雪の女王」から…オラフ⛄

This one is "Frozen" lunch box.

映画は見た事がありませんが…「ミニオンズ」🚙

This is "Minions".  I've never seen the movie.

10歳になった娘に作るキャラ弁もこれで最後かな…( ;∀;)その娘がつい先日は、私一人で寝るき！と、自分の部屋で寂しがるそぶりも見せず寝る始末。

どんどん親から離れていく娘で寂しさを感じますが、成長している証であると自分に言い聞かせながら、6月13日からの「6月のゆりの展示会2019」に挑みたいと思っております！

I think that this is my last "character lunch boxes", because my daughter is now 10 and she will like more "matured" lunch....  She's turning a lady, and  started to sleep by herself the other day.

I sometimes feel lonely to see her growth, but I will cheer myself up and concentrate on "Lily Fair June"!

もう夏ですか？ / Is it already summer?

今週に入り、高知県では最高気温が30℃を超える日も出てくるようになりました（真夏日ですよ！）。

冷蔵庫内での仕事も行っている私に生産者の方から、

「気温差があるから大変やね～。体調に気をつけよ！」

と優しい言葉をかけて頂いています。

The temperature in Kochi has been over 30 degrees C some times (it's like the mid summer!).

I'm in charge of handling bulbs in our cooling rooms as well as sales, and some customers give me thoughtful words, "Be careful about your health because you work in cold and hot!".

さて、「6月のゆりの展示会」まで3週間となり弊社試験ハウスのゆり達も分枝を終わらせ、蕾を膨らませようとしています。

Now, there's 3 months left to "Lily Fair June", and lilies in our greenhouse have finished branching and the buds are growing.

2週間前のブログ写真と見比べて頂いても、進んでいる事がはっきりとわかると思います。

展示会では花を、それまでに姿を見に来られても良いのではないでしょうか。

You can see the differences if you compare the photos of our blog 2 weeks ago and now.

We recommend you to check the shapes before the event, and check the flowers in the event.

先日も高知県内の生産者の方がお越しになられ、

Our customers in Kochi visited us the other day, and said,

「良いも悪いも今ぐらいの状態が一番見やすい」

と言いながら、かなりの時間をかけて気になる品種をチェックされていました。

"It's perfect timing now to check whether the lily is good or not good."

They spent a long time to check the lilies in our greenhouse.

3週間後の展示会も抜けるような青空の下、皆様と出会う事が出来れば良いですね。社員一同願っております。

(新)研修生!!! / New Trainee!

ここ高知は、週明け、大雨に見舞われました。

大雨には慣れているはずの高知県人としましても「なかなか降るなぁ」というほどの雨でした。

一転、本日は快晴。

さらに、気温も一気に高くなっています。

We had heavy rain here in Kochi on Monday.

Kochi people are meant to be used to big rain, but it was a bit surprising even for us.

Now, it's very sunny today, and the temperature became much higher as well.

そんな中5月21日、オランダからの研修生が中村農園での研修をスタートいたしました。

Meanwhile, we welcomed a new trainee from Holland on May 21st.

オランダの切り花生産会社のバッカー社より来日した、“ディルク・ファン・ウーデン君”です。

日本では、NZ産球根の生産会社としてもおなじみですね。

そしてディルク君は、そのバッカ－社社長マルコ・ファン・ウーデンさんの息子さんでもあります。

ディルク君は、若さあふれる20歳の若者で、今回が初の日本であり、初のアジアなのだそうです。

ぜひこの研修で、多くの事を吸収し、良い思い出を作っていただきたいと思います。

He is Mr. Dirk van Uden from A. Bakker & Nz. BV, which is a Dutch company making cut lilies and lily bulbs.  Many Japanese lily growers should know his company as a NZ grower of lily bulbs.

Dirk is the son of Bakker's president, Mr. Marco van Uden.  Dirk is a fresh young man of 20 years old, and it's his first time to come to an Asian country.

We hope that he will know many new things, and spend a good time in Kochi.

早速、高知産養成球の圃場で摘蕾作業に参加していただきました。

休憩時間を活かして、私もオリジナリティあふれる英語で会話することができました。

ボクシングをやっていたこと、乗っている車のこと、時差ボケのせいか疲労感より眠気に襲われていることなど・・・。

研修は始まったばかりですが、これから約一か月間どんどんコミュニケーションをとっていきたいと思います。

On his first day of the training, he helped the disbudding in our bulb field.  

During his break, I went to talk to him in my "original" English.

He told me that he does boxing, what kind of car he has, and he was sleepy rather than tired maybe because of jet lag.

I'd like to talk with him more during his 1 month-training time in Kochi.

「品種の人気投票ボード」を作っています。 / Preparing ”Favorite variety ranking board" for Lily Fair june

「6月のゆりの展示会」まで1ヵ月を切り、準備も着々と進んでいます。先日のブログでも少しご紹介しましたが、今年の展示会では新しい試みとして「511品種の人気投票」を計画しています。これまでもアンケート用紙にて“良かった品種”の集計は行っていましたが、今年はハウス通路に大型の投票ボードを6カ所設置し、その場で皆さんに投票していただき、その結果も同時に共有したいと考えています。

We have less than a month to "Lily Fair June", and the preparation is in the last part.  As we introduced you a little in the previous blog, we are preparing a new "favorite variety ranking" vote.  We have asked the visitors their favorite varieties with questionnaire papers every year, but we will do it on big boards in the greenhouse and the visitors can see the results in real time.

ユリを作る人、売る人、使う人、それぞれで品種を見る目は違いますが、その違いを「視覚化」して、みんなで品種について考えたり、議論する“きっかけ“になればと思っています。

The people who produce lilies, sell lilies, and use lilies have different opinions, and the ranking board will make the differences "visible".  We hope that it will be one of the subject of conversations.   

投票ボードは、6月上旬から設置予定です。展示会前に、ハウスを見に来ていただいた方もぜひ投票をお願いします。開花前の姿と開花後で、人気が変わる品種が出てくるかもしれませんね。

 We plan to place the boards from the first of June.  The visitors who come to our test greenhouse before the event can join the vote.  It should be interesting to see the change in the results before blooming and after.

先日は、投票ボード案のチェックを行いました。ちなみに、手前のユリは「ボネスタ」。

We checked the design of the board the other day.  By the way, the lilies in the front is "Bonesta".

さて、5月になり、高知は新緑がまぶしい季節になってきました。先週の日曜日、春の日差しに誘われて、高知県四万十町で開催された奥四万十トレイルレース（未舗装の山野を走る大会）に参加してきました。コースは起伏が激しく、難易度は高めですが、四万十川の沈下橋を渡ることもできる魅力的な大会です。ふかふか落ち葉の地面や凸凹の岩場、足の裏から伝わる変化を感じながら森の中を駆けるトレイルランは、マラソンとは違った面白さがあります。

It's been the latter half of May, and trees are vivid green and the nature is becoming active in Kochi.

In this comfortable season, I joined a trail run race in Shimanto-cho in Kochi the other day.  The course is very rough and sometimes dangerous, but the runners can enjoy beautiful scenery on the way as well.

Trail run course which runs in forests with soft leaves and rough rocks on the ground has different attractiveness from normal marathon.

実は、高知県の森林面積の割合は83％と全国一位を誇り、それらを観光資源として捉えて、このような大会が開催されています。

もしかしたら、ユリもちょっと違った視点で見ると、新しい可能性や魅力が出てくるのかもしれません。今年の展示会では、これまであまり知られていなかった「ゆりの香り」について、ご紹介したいと考えております。

Kochi Prefecture has the proportion of forest land of 83%, which is the highest in Japan.  There are various  tourism using this characteristic like this trail run race.

In the point of lily, like Kochi's forest rate, we might find more interesting aspects when we see it from different points of view. 

In this year's exhibition, we will propose new aspects of "Lily's scents" which haven't been received attentions very much so far.

5月半ば～！ / Already mid May!

　5月も半ばになり「6月のゆりの展示会」に向けて準備が急がれる頃になりました。

例年に比べると季節の移り変わりはゆっくりしているように感じますが、それでも街路樹や社屋から見える草木の緑は日毎にその勢いを増しています。

It's already middle of May, and we are getting busy with the preparation for "Lily Fair June".
We feel that season is changing slowly compared to usual years, but trees and plants we see are getting more and more vivid and active day by day.

先月4月末に草刈りした展示会用駐車場の雑草も同様で、次なる手入れが必要なようです。

It applies to the weeds which we had removed in the parking place for the event last month as well.  Probably we need to clean it up again soon.

　

　毎年６月の展示会には国内外からたくさんの方々にご来場いただきましてありがとうございます。今年も過去最多品種の一斉開花で皆さまをお待ちしております。　

高知へ来られるのが初めてという方もいらっしゃるかも知れませんので、自然豊かな南国土佐も満喫していただけたらと思います。

We are so glad to have many people from all over Japan at our event every year.  We will welcome you with lilies in bloom of the biggest number in varieties ever.

Some people should visit Kochi for the first time, so we hope that they will enjoy beautiful nature of Kochi as well.

　高知で注目を集めているのは、仁淀ブルーで知られる仁淀川です。上流から河口まで様々な景色やレジャーが楽しめます。ここでは下流の風景ショットでご紹介します。

A sightseeing spot of Kochi which is getting popular recently is Niyodo River.  It's famous for its beautiful water color called "Niyodo Blue", and you can enjoy various activities at anywhere along the river.

　そして楽しみながら植物に出会うことができる、牧野植物園！　植物園は高知市五台山にあり、高知県出身の植物学者・牧野富太郎博士の業績や土佐の植物生態なども観ることができる植物好きな方には絶好のスポットです。今年3月にオープンした展望台からは四国山地の眺望も楽しめます。

Another popular spot is "Makino Botanical Garden" where you can have a good time seeing various plants, trees, and flowers.

It locates on Godaisan Mountain in Kochi City.  You can learn the works of Dr. Tomitaro Makino, who is a famous botanist born in Kochi, and the ecology of Kochi's plants.  It's a perfect place for people who are interested in those things.

A new observation spot was opened in March, and you can see the mountain range of Shikoku Island there.

　特別な日にも、普段の生活の中でも私たちは美しいものに癒されます。

百合もその癒しのひとつとして、身近で愛されるものであり続けたいと願っています。
