Today was the second day in Holland and my first day of study trip.
今日は、ヤンデウィットのヤンデウィットさんに、オランダの北の方にあるオブライセルやドレンテの球根生産者さんを案内してもらいました。
Mr. Jan de Wit from Jan de Wit en Zonen B.V. took us to Overijssel and Drenthe which is in the north part of Holland, and introduced us the bulb growers there.
とにかくその地域までが遠く、片道2時間、往復4時間。 ヤンさんには、運転はもちろん食事、ボールペンなど、本当にありがとうございました。
It took about 2 hours one way from our place. We very much appreciate Mr. Jan de Wit's hospitality not only of driving for us for 4 hours, but also arranging meals and novelties of his company.
道中で、感動したものは、何と言っても風車とIKEAでした。
風車について、昔は粉をひいていたんだけど、今は海水をくみ出すのに使っているということを、
IKEAについては、娘さんが大学生活をはじめる時に、家具なんかはIKEAで揃えたことを、ヤンさんが教えてくれました。
I was surprised at windmills and Dutch IKEA in the way.
Mr. Jan de Wit told us that the windmills used to be used for grinding, but now it's used to pump out the sea water.
He also said that he prepared new furniture for his daughter's entering university.
私も、IKEAで9月に約10万円分の買い物をして、5時間かけて棚を組みあげました。
IKEAに関しては、道中で3店舗もあり、本当にどれか1店舗を我が家の前のニトリと交換してもらいたいと思いました。
I also bought goods of 100 thousand yen at IKEA in Japan in September, and made shelves which took me 5 hours.
I found 3 IKEA on the way. I really thought that we want one of them in Kochi instead of our local furniture shop.

オランダ最大の銀行 ラボバンク 建物が独特。
The biggest bank in Holland, Rabo Bank. The building is unique.

このちょろっとみえているのは、洗面台ではなく、男性用の小便器。
とにかく位置が高い。日本人には、危険な高さです。

The white base in front of me is not a wash stand. It's a men's urinal.
This is too high for Japanese men. Quite dangerous for us.
オランダにある、マクドナルドというハンバーガーショップ、子供用の遊具が室内外にある。
A hamburger shop called McDonald's. There are play equipment for kids inside and outside.
マクドナルドの外看板、足がスプリングでできているので、倒れないし、飛ばされない。
McDonald's outside board. The legs are made of spring so it doesn't fall down or get swept by wind.
電線はないし、色々オシャレな街並み。

家もほとんどの民家がこの感じ。子供が絵に描いたようなかわいらしい感じの家ばかり。
Many houses look like this. Many of them are pretty like children's drawings.
え？ぶれているじゃないかって？
そりゃ、往復２時間、平均約100キロをほぼノンストップで走っているうえに、ほとんどの交差点がロータリーになっているし、たまにある信号で停まった時は、良い景色がないので、何度かチャレンジして一番マシな奴がこの写真です。

This is the best photo of many I tried in non-stop 2 hour drive at 100km per hour,
most of the intersections are rotary,
and only few chances to stop were not so good views.
しかも、今のホテルは明るい時間に見ることはないので、今後もホテル周辺の花壇の写真は撮れないということに、今日の昼に気づきました。
I noticed in lunch time that I can't be at my hotel in daytime, and that means I cannot take pictures of flower beds I mentioned in the last article.
研修は、まだ始まったばかり。まだブログも続けたいとおもっています。
