Today's report is by Sakamoto. I'd like to introduce one of the preparation we did for our event, "Lily Fair June".
さて弊社のイベント「6月のゆりの展示会」も、残すところあと2ヶ月足らずとなってきました。
春の日差しと共に野生の草花が元気に育つこの時期、展示会に向けた大事な準備の１つに駐車場予定地の草刈りがあります。
Now we have less than 2 months to "Lily Fair June".
The spring warm sunshine grows wild plants around us. One of the most important jobs which we need to do for the exhibition is weeding in the place which will be a parking area at the event.
この日は晴天で、社員10名程で作業しました。
この作業、去年行った時は、雑草やツルが想像以上にしぶとくて、難航しました。
その経験から手前に除草剤を散布して、ある程度枯らしていたので、今年は去年よりスムーズに作業が進み、1時間程で終了しました。
The weather on the day was fine, and about 10 of us worked for it.
When we did it last year, the roots and vines of plants were very strong and we had a hard time.
We learnt from last year and had applied weedkiller beforehand. The plants were not so strong this year, and we finished the work in about 1 hour.
私も草刈り機で、草むらの見えない石や空き缶に怯えながら草を刈りました。
個人的に一番恐ろしいのが、下の写真２枚目のトゲのある雑草です。去年、これを何も考えずに掴み、見事に手に刺さりました。
My duty was a mower, and I cut the weeds frightened of hiding rocks and cans.
Another scary thing for me was a plant with sparky prickles of the middle photo below.
I grabbed it carelessly last year, and I succeeded to damage my hand.
作業が終わった後はご覧のように、駐車場らしくなり、また１つ「6月の展示会」に向けた準備も進みました。
After weeding, the ground became clear and available for a parking area. We finished one of important jobs.
