今日は、先日高知市内で開催されました、「土佐の豊穣祭2018 高知家の花」というイベントをご紹介します！
Today we would like to introduce an event, “Tosa
no Hojosai 2018 – Kochi’s Flowers”, which was held in Kochi City the other day.
こちらは、高知県・高知県園芸連・高知県農業協同組合中央会からなる「新需要開拓マーケティング協議会」主催で開催されたイベント。「土佐の豊穣祭2018」という、高知県内各所で行われた大きなイベントの一環として行われました。
高知で生産されている様々な花を、見て触れて楽しみ、学ぶという内容です。
It was held by Kochi Prefecture’s government,
Kochi Engeiren, and Kochi’s JA Chuokai.
It was a part of a big festival in Kochi.
People could see and touch flowers which
are produced in Kochi, and they could learn about the flowers in this event.
会場に入ると、ビニールハウスを模したような屋根のアレンジメントコーナーが！
高知の花たちが、惜しげもなくてんこ盛りにディスプレイされていました。
美しさや香りにつられて、周りは人がいっぱい！
The first thing the visitors saw was a
flower arrangement booth in a building like a greenhouse.
There were a lot of Kochi’s flowers.
Many people were gathering around there. Maybe they were led by the beauty and the smell.
正解者には花のプレゼントがある「お花のクイズラリー」もあり、みなさん熱心に各花の説明パネルを読んでいました。
また、無料でフラワーアレンジメント教室や、花に関する講座に参加することができ（大人気で満員につき、こちらは受けられず……残念。）、大変な賑わいようでした。
A quiz rally was held there, too. People were looking for the information board
of each flower to win a present. In
addition, there were free lectures of flower arrangement and how to treat flowers.
夜も開催されていましたが、ライトアップされた様子も美しかったです！
It was open in night time as well, and the
flowers lighted up were beautiful.
この他、このイベントで注目していたのはこちら。県内の学生さんたちによる、「フラワーアレンジメント対決」！
Another interesting thing was “Flower arrangement
battle” by school students.
5分の持ち時間の間に、ステージ上に備えられた高知の花材を使い、花瓶に花を活けます。最後は審査員による評価と、会場のオーディエンスの投票によって勝敗が決まります。
作品の出来はもちろん、アレンジ中の所作も評価対象になっていて、選手のみなさんは手早く美しく制作を進めていました。
The players made their arts in 5 minutes, and the judges and audience
voted the team they liked. The judges
looked at not only how their arts looked, but also the way the players
moved. The students were working quickly
and beautifully.
もちろん！ユリも使ってくれていましたよ♪
Of course, they used lilies as well!
プロのアレンジャーによる手に汗握るダイナミックな「花活けバトル」もありますが、緊張しながらも一生懸命バトルに取り組む彼女たちの初々しさや爽やかさは、とても印象的でした。会場の観覧席にも多くの人たちが集まり、前のめりに観戦しながら、どちらのチームに投票しようかと盛り上がっていました。
While “flower arrangement battle” by professional florists is
dynamic and thrilling, school students’ battle was so fresh and impressive in
another way. There was a lot of
audience, and they were talking over the battle.
当社の「6月のゆりの展示会」で、プロのフラワーアレンジャーによる花活けパフォーマンスをしていただいた時も、会場が大盛り上がりだったことを思い出します。「花活け」って、人を惹きつける大きな力があるんですね！
When a flower
arrangement performance was held in our previous “Lily Fair June”, the audience
was so active as well. Flower arrangement
attracts people.
若い人たちへの花の普及は、花業界にとって大切な課題。彼らに花に興味を持ってもらい、花を手に取ってもらうきっかけとしても、素晴らしいイベントだと感じました。 参加していた「バトラー」の学生さんたちには、ぜひこれからも頑張ってほしいなと思いますし、他の若い人たちにも輪が広がればと思います。
当社も貢献できるよう、今後もいろいろと考えていきたいと思ったイベントでした♪
Promoting flowers to young people is an important
subject in the flower industry. This
event was such a great promotion as an opportunity for young people to get
interested in flowers. We hope the
students who played in the battle will keep using flowers in the future, and
more young people will like flowers like the players. We’ll do our best to be a help for it.
