春の嵐か、今日は強風と寒さに耐えている高知市です。
Today in Kochi is very windy and cold which
is like a spring storm.
さて、今週の中村農園の出来事をご紹介！
We’d like to introduce some news in
Nakamura Noen this week.
まずは、オランダとメキシコからのお客様について。
The first one is about visitors from
Holland and Mexico.
メキシコもゆりの生産が盛んで、LAが割合の多くを占めると言います。
かなり標高が高い産地が多くあり、ゆりの到花日数も日本に比べるとものすごく長いとか。
そんなメキシコから、国内最大の球根輸入会社・Akiko社より、レネイ・ビンクさんがいらっしゃいました。レネイさんにとっては初の高知訪問ということで、私達にとっても新しい良い出会いとなりました。
The production of lily is big in Mexico,
and we hear that much of the production is LA varieties.
We also heard that there are many
production areas which are at very high altitude in Mexico, and lilies take
much more time to bloom than Japan’s lilies.
We had a guest from Mexico, Mr. Rene Vink,
who is from the biggest bulb importer of Mexico. It was his first time to visit Kochi. We were so glad to have him at our office.
弊社は海外から訪問がある日には、その方の国の国旗を揚げるようにしています。
今回は弊社にとって初のメキシコからの来訪者。メキシコの国旗を新たに追加しました。
When we have visitors from foreign
countries, we usually hoist flags of their countries. It was our first time to have a guest from
Mexico, so we bought a new flag!
またレネイさんと共に、弊社の取引先であるオランダの球根輸出会社・オニングス社より、営業担当のエバート・バンザンテンさんと、マルコ・パストールさん、
そしてオランダの切花生産者であるティム・ファンデマレルさんも来社されました。
Together with Mr. Vink, Mr. Evert van
Zanten and Mr. Marco Pastoor from P.F.Onings, and Mr. Tim van der Marel who is
a big lily grower in Holland.
ティムさんは実は、6年前に研修生として高知に滞在していました。弊社でもしばらく研修期間を過ごしてくれ、一緒にいろんな仕事をしたことを覚えています。
Mr. Tim van der Marel stayed in Kochi as a
trainee 6 years ago. He spent a while with us, too, and we
remember many things we did with him.

数年前は研修生だったティムさんは、今やオランダやチリで球根生産も行うビジネスマン。弊社が取り扱う球根のうち彼の会社が生産するものも多くあり、頼もしい限りです。
Tim who was a trainee before is now a big
businessman who produce bulbs in Holland and Chile. We deal many bulbs of him, and we feel
impressed by his progress.
今回は皆さんに弊社の施設や試験ハウスをご覧いただいたあと、高知県内の切り花生産者様にご協力いただき、生産現場を視察させていただきました。
弊社を訪問された日の前夜は社員も参加しての食事会を開催し、来高された４名と情報交換をしながら、熱く楽しい時間を過ごしました。
We showed our facilities and test
greenhouse, and then took them to our customers’ fields.
On the night before, we held a dinner party
including some of our staffs. We had a
very good time.
さて、次のニュースは、中村農園作・「SNSスタンドボード」について。
The next news is about our “SNS stand
board”.
１月に高知市で開催された「全国ゆりサミットin高知」に参加された方々は、すでにご覧いただいているかもしれません。SNSの画面を模したボードをゆりでデコレーションし、枠の中に入って写真を撮ってみたり、SNSにアップしてみたりして、気軽にゆりを楽しんでもらいたいと製作したボードです。
The people who participated in “Lily Summit
in Kochi” in January might have seen this.
It is a board with a design like social
media and decorations of lilies, and we made it hoping that people enjoy lilies
by taking photos and uploading the photos on their Facebook or Instagram.
今週初めから約１週間、高知県立農業大学校さんにご協力いただき、学生さんの利用する建物内にこのボードを設置させていただけることとなりました。
We placed this board at Kochi Agricultural
college. It will be placed for one week
in a building which the students use every day.

ボードの装飾にあたっては、高知県のリリーアンバサダーでもある金子生花店（土佐市）・濵田さんにご協力をお願いしました。今後自分たちでも装飾ができるよう、シンプルなグリーンも使いながら、ゆりをきれいに見せる挿し方をレクチャーしていただきました。
For the decoration of this board, we asked
one of Kochi’s “Lily Ambassador”, Mr. Hamada, for help. We asked him to show us how to make the
arrangement which can be made by ourselves using simple materials.
挿し方を教えていただいた感想はというと……
うーん、やっぱりプロの技はなかなか真似できん(^^;！！
丁寧かつ具体的にレクチャーしていただきながらも手際よく挿していく濵田さんの手元は、やはりセンス溢れるプロの技。
What we felt from his lecture was ……
Ummm, it’s so professional!
As we expected, it was very difficult to
arrange flowers like he did.
目から鱗のアレンジのコツをたくさん教えていただいたので、きれいなアレンジができるよう、私たちも一生懸命練習していきたいと思います。
He told us many useful tips to make flowers
look beautiful. We will try hard to
improve our skills!
農大の学生さんたちが、このボードで写真を撮って盛り上がってくれるといいなぁ……！
We really hope that the students at school are
enjoying lilies of this board!
