Here I report the latest situation of the heat resistance test.
OTはあと1週間程度で分枝が終わる品種が多く、ORは現在、分枝途中の品種が多い状況です。OT・OR共にほぼ全ての品種で丈の長さやリン付がわかります。また焼けや蕾のガク割れもわかる時期となっています。
Many OT varieties will finish branching in one week, and Oriental varieties are on the way of branching. You can see the stem length and bud counts of all the OT and Oriental varieties now. Also you can check the leaf burning and bud cracking at this point.
先週から遮光ネットを2枚から1枚にしました。これは分枝前の焼けやすい時期が過ぎ、枝振りをコンパクトにするためです。これによりケイントップをまいてはいますが、日光が地表に当たり先週の地温は最高30.4℃、最低28.3℃でした。立秋が過ぎ夜間は涼しくなった気がしますが、前回と比べると逆に地温は上がっていました。ほんとうに栽培管理は奥が深い。。。
We changed the shade sheets to single from double last week. This is to make the branching compact after the period which lilies get leaf burning easily. This made the soil temperature 30.4 degrees Celsius at highest and 28.3 at lowest, even with sugarcane on top. The air temperature in night is becoming lower these days, but the soil is hotter than before because of this change. Cultivation management is full of mystery indeed …
