さて、まだまだ先だと思っていた「ゆりサミットin高知」まで1週間を切りました。全国各地からゆり生産者や関係者が集結し、今後のゆりについて話し合う「ゆりサミット」、その第2回大会が1月25日～26日の2日間、高知で開催されます。

We hope to have your continuous support for this year.
"Lily Summit in Kochi" will be held in a week. This is the second conference of lily forcers and relative people of all around Japan, and they talk about the future of lily in this event. It will be held on January 25th and 26th in Kochi.
そして、26日には弊社試験農場への視察もあり、多くの方が来場予定です。
現在、試験農場では昨年10月に定植した18年南半球産のサロニキが1月3日に開花し、続いてコンパニオンなどの早生品種の開花も始まっていますので、ちょうど良いタイミングで皆さんに18年南半球産の試作を見て頂けると思います。We will welcome the participants to our test greenhouse on the 26th.
Now in our greenhouse, some 18SH varieties are blooming. Saloniki planted in October has bloomed on January 3rd, and other early varieties such as Companion have bloomed as well. We believe that it will be a good timing for the visitors to check our trial of crop 18SH.

南半球産の試験は「比較の試験」です。同じ品種でも、ニュージーランド産とチリ産では違いがありますし、3月定植や9月定植のオランダ産との違いも実感していただけると思います。
特に葉焼けについては、オランダ産とはガラッと印象が変わる品種があると思います。
The trial of SH bulbs is "comparative experiment". A same variety has differences between its New Zealand bulbs and Chilean bulbs, and there are also differences from Dutch trial planted March and September.
Leaf burning should be more interesting to see because SH trial shows very different result from that of Dutch bulbs.
草丈の長いOT品種たち
Tall OT varieties
また、酷暑試験やオランダ産抑制試験では草丈がちょうど良かったOT品種でも、南半球産を使った真冬の栽培では草丈が一段と伸びてしまうものもあります。
草丈が伸び過ぎず、しっかりと茎が硬くてコンパクトな品種。しかも生育日数が短い。そんな冬用のOT品種探しには、今回の試験が絶好のチャンスです。
In addition, OT varieties are interesting to see as well. Some OT which had appropriate stem heights in the heat resistance test and Dutch late forcing trial grow too tall in the SH winter trial.
It is a perfect chance to look for OT varieties for winter which don't get tall too much, have hard stems and compact shapes, and shorter growing time.
八重品種
Double varieties
これまではオランダ産ばかりだった八重品種も、ようやく南半球での生産が始まりました。
まだ数は少ないですが、どんな咲き方をするか楽しみです。
Production of double varieties have started in NZ and Chile, while there were only Dutch crop before.
The number of the varieties is not so big yet, but we look forward to seeing the result.
26日の視察では、試験栽培を見ていただきながら、“冬場にはどの品種が適しているのか”また、“マーケットからはどんな品種が必要とされているのか”
そうした話もぜひ来場者の方と意見交換できればと思っています。
We hope that there will be an active communication among the visitors of "Summit" about "varieties which are good for winter" or "varieties which are demanded in markets" in our greenhouse.
そして、もちろんサミット後も栽培は続きます。
